Michael Emmi
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
In January of 2002, Mike Emmi retired as Chairman and CEO of Systems
and Computer Technology Corporation (now SunGard Higher Education)
and acquired IPR International, LLC. During his 16 year tenure with
SCT, the annual revenues of the company grew from $35 million
to over $450 million. Before heading SCT, Mike spent 17 years with
General Electric, where he served as Vice President of World
Operations for several divisions involved with information
services and worldwide communications networks.
Mike has received many honors over the years, including Ernst & Young’s
Entrepreneur of the Year, the 1995 Enterprise Award of the
Pennsylvania Council on Economic Education, the 1995 CEO of the Year
of the Greater Philadelphia Technology Council and the 1995 CEO of the
Year by Business
Philadelphia. He has also received the prestigious Lifetime
Achievement Award from Temple University and Business Leader
of the Year from St. Joseph’s University. Legatus International
named Mike “Top Catholic CEO” and the B’nai B’rith awarded him the Corporate
Achievement Award. He has been featured in many major publications
including Forbes, Philadelphia
Business Journal, and Business Philadelphia magazine.
Mike has been invited to serve on the boards of directors of a number
of corporations, civic organizations and charities. He is presently
on the Board of Directors for CDI Corporation (NYSE) and the Eastern
Technology Council. Mike has also served on the boards and chaired board
committees for Education Management Corporation (NASDAQ), Metallurg Corporation;
Cyber Technology Group (a private patent-orientated company) and CompuCom.
Mike was also on the boards of directors of National Media Corporation
(NASDAQ); Safeguard Scientifics, Inc. and Pioneer Systems. Additionally
he has been a board member for the Business and Higher Education Forum
and served on its Executive Committee. Mike devotes time to Philadelphia’s
charitable and philanthropic institutions, among them being the Philadelphia
Orchestra Association (past vice chairman), United Cerebral Palsy Association,
Catholic Leadership Institute, and Ronald McDonald Charities.
A graduate of the State University of New York, Mike currently serves
on the board of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Team Pennsylvania,
Safeguard Scientifics, COMPUCOM, CDI Corporation, the Franklin
Institute, The World Affairs Council, Greater Philadelphia
Technology Council and Avenue of the Arts, Inc.
Sean Meenan – Chief Financial Officer
Sean Meenan joined IPR International as Chief Financial Officer in April,
2006. An attorney with a Masters in Taxation, Sean brought 20 years of
hands-on, practical business experience to IPR having served in positions
as Director of Tax for P. H. Glatfelter Company, a global supplier of
specialty paper and engineered products, and Seton Company, a global
manufacturer of quality automotive leather, and as Vice President of
Taxation and in-house Tax Counsel for SCT Corporation (NASDAQ:SCTC). In
addition to these experiences, Sean has served as Chief Financial Officer
and Chief Operations Officer for IDC Partners, a Business Continuity
Consulting firm that introduced Sean to the world of Business Continuity
and Disaster Recovery services.
During his career, Sean has also served as an Adjunct Professor in
Business Taxation at Cabrini College where he designed and
taught courses aimed at teaching students the tax implications of various
corporate structures on the owners of those businesses. He served on
the Board of Directors of Cabrini College Cavalier Club from 1995 through
1997 and has been recognized in Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities.
A member of the American Bar Association as well as the Pennsylvania
Bar, Sean has also been a member of Tax Executives Institute and the
Manufacturers’ Alliance Tax Council III, Sean has also Co-Chaired the
SCT National United Way Campaign in 1998 – 2000.
Alice Quinn – Vice President of Marketing
Alice Quinn joined IPR in 2002 when the assets of DataGuard
Group were purchased by Mike Emmi and Bob Bray. Her extensive
background in Sales and Marketing includes co-founding Great
Golf Resorts of the World with Jack Nicklaus and Rick Summer
as well as handling the opening year of marketing for North
American Beverage Company.
As a Senior Marketing Consultant with the international
accounting and consulting firm of Laventhol & Horwath,
Alice worked with many hospitality companies to develop and
implement sales and marketing strategies. She has over 10
years of experience in the hospitality field, including sales
and marketing positions with Trusthouse Forte Hotels (UK)
Exclusive Division and Servico Corporation. She was also
co-host of the syndicated television show, “Real to Reel”
for the first two years that it was on the air.
Alice has served on the Board of Baker Industries and The
Garrett Williams Foundation and the Editorial Board for Technology
Times. She has been active in The Patrons Foundation, the
Eastern Technology Council, the Conferie de la Chaine des
Rotissierus and the Sales and Marketing Committee for the
64th PGA Championship.
Ray Lerro, CISSP -
VP, Business Resiliency Services
Ray Lerro brings over 26 years of experience in the Disaster
Recovery field to the already extensive knowledge base at
IPR. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional
(CISSP), his credentials speak for themselves.
Before joining IPR, Mr. Lerro held several key positions
in the Disaster Recovery field, including Disaster Recovery
Specialist for AAA Mid-Atlantic, Senior Project Manager for
Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery for Vanguard Partners,
DR & Quality Assurance Consultant for Bank One and Program
Manager for SunGard Planning Solutions, and Data center Project
Manager for Prudential Insurance.
Mr. Lerro graduated from LaSalle University and was a Missile
Guidance Systems Technician in the US Air Force. He and his
family live in Warminster, PA.
