IPR Secure Private Cloud

IPR’s Secure Private Cloud delivers "Infrastructure as a Service"

From an industry point of view, Cloud services fall into three broad categories: (1) Software as a Service (SaaS), (2) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and (3) Platform as a Service (PaaS).

SaaS is well known and consists of software applications delivered over the Internet. IaaS refers to remotely accessible server and storage capacity, while PaaS is a compute-and-software platform that lets developers build and deploy Web applications on a hosted infrastructure.

At this time, IPR’s Private Cloud is focused on Infrastructure as a Service.  Please note that clients utilizing SaaS applications such as Salesforce.com can continue to use the services independent of the IPR Private Cloud.

The IPR Private Cloud is intended to replace your current data center (or data centers).  We provide networking, storage, servers, firewalls, backup, replication and Disaster Recovery (DR).  You manage your applications, databases, web site, active directory and other software applications just as you always have.

IPR's Private Cloud is delivered from two IPR Tier III data centers.

Is it right for you?

We hope so and here is why.  The IPR Private Cloud was designed by industry experts.  Our data centers have unparalleled power, HVAC, UPS, generators, and security.  Our cloud is not housed at a colocation facility nor does it reside in Tier I or Tier II data centers.  Our data centers are Tier III facilities designed and built by two of the largest companies in the world.   One facility by JP Morgan, and the second, by GPU Electric Company, which is now part of FirstEnergy.  Due to mergers, both of these data center facilities became available.  Often timing is everything and IPR just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Our data centers have never lost power and are both situated on separate power grids.  The infrastructure is fully redundant, so if one data center ever went down you would still be up and running in the other.  If by some unprecedented event both centers lost power, we have numerous generators at each location capable of producing massive amounts of electricity.

Both facilities have multiple Tier 1 Internet providers.  Latency to New York, Philadelphia and Washington are under 2 milliseconds (ms).

How do you connect?

Your business connects to the IPR Private Cloud via MPLS, direct lines or hardware VPN's. If you are content with your current provider and they connect to our facilities, you can continue to utilize their service. We become a node on your MPLS network and can also set up a point to point connection directly into our data center.  If you prefer, IPR can provide and manage the network.
